Our Journey and Mission
Welcome to our journey! Founded in 2019, Southern Reine Boutique began with a simple vision: to offer style and quality for everyone, not just a select few—true “bourgeoisie on a budget.” We believe looking your best shouldn’t require spending thousands, even if you have it to spend. Now in 2026, we’ve grown beyond what we imagined and are proud to welcome you to the Community of Reine.
Our Founder’s Story
After more than 15 years in corporate America, I mastered the art of blending in—carefully choosing my words, appearance, and presence to remain professional yet understated. As a Black woman in a predominantly white industry, I was always aware of how I stood out, striving to keep my presence quietly powerful. Beneath that polished exterior, however, was a creative voice longing to be expressed.
Taking a leap of faith, I stepped away from a stable career to pursue style and entrepreneurship, discovering a passion I hadn’t fully embraced before. The encouragement of friends, family, and even new acquaintances confirmed that fashion and design were more than interests—they were my calling. Southern Reine Boutique was born from that journey of self-discovery, individuality, and empowerment through personal style. Today, I proudly stand out and invite you to embrace your own bold expression.
The Spirit of Southern Reine
“Reine” is French for “Queen” - and our crowns represents the resilience and strength of Southern queens like myself. We have a few dents and scratches in our crowns because we fight hard for our families, friends, careers, and our place at the table.
